Hunger Walk 2022
Hunger Walk 2022 was a great success!!! Rockcastle County participates in the Hunger Walk in order to bring awareness to hunger insecurity in our community. The county works with the Christian Appalachian Project and the schools in order to make this project a success. Thank you Rockcastle County for the grand number of non-perishable food items that were donated during the walk.

Chapin International to Create 200 Jobs with New Danville Facility, Mount Vernon Expansion
NEWS RELEASE FROM THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR
FRANKFORT, Ky. (Aug. 26, 2021) – Today, Gov. Andy Beshear announced Chapin International Inc., a manufacturer of compressed air sprayers, plans to add 200 full-time jobs with an expansion of its recently opened Rockcastle County facility and a new location in Boyle County, two projects totaling nearly $16.7 million in new investment.

Farmers Market Groundbreaking ceremony!
With construction set to begin this week it was with great pleasure the members of RCIDA, the Farmers Market Board, County Judge Executive Howell Holbrook, Mayor Mike Bryant, State Representative Josh Bray, 5th District Magistrate Mike McGuire, 3rd District Magistrate Doug Prewitt, 2nd District Magistrate Shannon Bishop as well as members of the construction contractor crew and several others were present Monday night to break ground for the New Farmers Market.
Mowing season to begin may 1st
Please be aware of county road department mowers on county roads from now thru September. The county road department will follow a mowing schedule and continue to loop that same schedule all summer.
